Color Pickers for jQuery lovers
jQuery is an amazing and very helpful javascript library that I always use in my web projects. Beauty of jQuery is its plugins which are available in a large number and free. jQuery makes the javascript work 70 times faster and easier. Sometimes when you have to let people or yourself add web color codes in text field or in order to change colors of fonts, backgrounds etc in real time then a Color Picker is a big help.
jQuery may have many color picker plugins. Some are very simple while some are very complex and useful. Below is a short list of jQuery best color pickers plugins.
1. EyeCon’s jQuery Color Picker
As you can see from above screenshot this is very handy color picker plugin with a sexy black look and controls. It is very easy to implement and you can assign its hex color return value to any input field or any DOM element. It can change the colors in real time or after you pressing the color button in control. You can downoad EyeCon’s jQuery color picker plugin from here.
2. Farbtastic jQuery Color Picker Plugin
This is my 2nd favorite color picker plugin for jQuery. It is a color wheel unlike the above plugin but it does the same job as eyecon’s picker plugin does. Download this Color Picker.
3. Another Simple Color Picker
This one is another similar to EyeCon’s color picker but it is simpler and have no sexy black look. Simple controls but it does the job well. There is only one little problem that you always have to click OK button to close this pop up picker. View Details and Download.
4. jQuery Color Picker (Pre-defined color boxes)
This color picker have a pre-defined number of color boxes. You can choose any color from them and it will set the value of target element to the selected hex color value. Download & Details.
